Dear CGCC NIGP Members,
As our Gulf Coast communities begin to assess the impact of the recent hurricane, I want to take a moment to reach out to each of you and your families. My sincere hope and prayer is that you are safe and that your homes, workplaces, and communities have been spared significant damage.
We know all too well along the Gulf Coast that the challenges of a hurricane do not end when the storm passes. Recovery takes time, patience, resilience, and, most importantly, people coming together to support one another.
As public procurement professionals, many of us play an essential role in helping our communities recover, restoring critical services, and ensuring resources reach those who need them most. Your dedication and service during these difficult times do not go unnoticed.
Please remember that you are not alone. Our chapter is more than a professional organization; we are a family of colleagues, friends, and neighbors who stand together in times of need. If you or your agency are facing challenges, please reach out. We are here to encourage, connect, and support one another however we can.
Above all, take care of yourselves and your families. Recovery is a journey, and no one should have to walk it alone.
May God bless and protect each of you, give strength to those facing difficult days ahead, and bring peace and restoration to our Gulf Coast communities.
With gratitude and prayers,
James
